Norton has been playing G&G the whole time. That’s what’s been going on in the juvie this whole time, they have been playing the entire time. Archie was the Red Paladin the whole time, that’s why they called him red, not because he is ginger. Why was A branded?
Okay, I have many feelings and thoughts about this episode. I thought it was really good, and I feel like it really brought the plot forward, at least compared to the last episode.
At the beginning of the episode, Jughead just seemed delusional when talking about how they have all been playing G&G for a long time, but in the end, with everything that happened with Warden Norton and Archie being the Red Paladin it really makes sense that someone has been pulling everyone’s strings for a long time. I really want to know how many of Norton’s decisions were his own and how much of it was the Gargoyle King. Did he actually have any say in the fight club and how things were run, or was he just a puppet giving out the illusion of power?
That being said I do think Hiram has more to do with the game than is being led on, and if anyone in the show now is the Gargoyle King I think it’s him. I mean think about it, he was playing the game the first time and he was the one providing the drugs that night. He was the one landing Archie in Juvie in the first place, framing him for murder, and we all believed it was for some kind of petty revenge, but maybe that was all part of some bigger plan.
We didn’t really see anything of the farm in this episode, and I get that it was pretty much all about Archies escape, I’m really wondering what part the Farm and the Evernevers have in this big G&G game. Maybe Edgar is actually the Gargoyle King and is pulling the strings from his little barn. Who knows. All I know is that I am still very intrigued by it all.
