The close-ups from my latest haul video, plus a little bonus picture.
I filmed this a few weeks ago, and it unfortunately took me awhile to get around to edit it, and I was supposed to get this up yesterday, but some things got in the way. Excuses, excuses…
I couldn’t get the swatches and close up into the video, but there will be a blogpost with them up – hopefully – tomorrow, and I will link it here when it is! So check back then if you’re interested 🙂
A selfie from the first of May, when I was chilling in the sun in a thick sweater – as one does. | Instagram
Hey there, Friends and Enemies. I’m here again, as I said I was going to be, so it seems that I don’t have to step on my own toe today, what a relief.
Though,I know that this month is almost over, and this was supposed to go up at the begging of it, but as they say, better late than never, am I right? Haha… No, serisously though, this months recap will hopefully, actully go up at the begging of July, instead of when July is almost over. Let’s see if I can stick to that.
I did a makeup look inspired by the cover of Sign of The Times by Harry Styles. I did film me doing this look, but the footage turned out even messier than the actual makeup, *cough*. | Instagram
A “Fools Gold” inspired makeup look. I got the idea when I was playing around with my lip makeup a few days before. It didn’t really turn out how I wanted it to, partly because I didn’t really have the right products, but also because I didn’t really know what I was going. Maybe I’ll give it a go again sometime in the future? Who knows. | Instagram
A selfie I took at my grandparent’s house, that i never uploaded anywhere, though I do really like it. Can you tell what my favorite color is? My makeup was basically just eyebrows and falsies if I remember correctly.
When you hair is just SO beautiful one evening, you have to take a equally as beautiful selfie, right?
This day I wore black eyeliner for the first time in forever, I made a little wing that I thought would blend well with the band of a pair of eyelashes I had recently purchased. It was really weird to see my eyes with black liner, but it was fun, too. I also made a little glitter mix with some different glitters I have, which I am really liking. I did that and some of my usual full face of highlighter.
This time around I did a smoked out look with some pinks, reds and even some more purple toned shadows and blushes. I actually use blushes and bronzers for eyeshadow more than I actually use eyeshadows for some reason. I have two blush and bronzer pallets that I bought with the intention to use as eyeshadow and the bronzer one is the one I use the most over all.
This is from the day my dad, my uncle and I went to see Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 2, and I decided to take a mirror selfie for the first time in ages. I took the picture with my camera, because A; I have a iPhone 4 and the camera is not great, and I was already using my camera for normal selfies that I apparently didn’t like. The makeup was pretty much the same as it was in the previous picture, but I put glitter under my eyes, and on the bridge of my nose, which I enjoyed a lot.
That was my little Makeup and Selfie recap for this month, which I forgot to do for February and March. I have been struggling with my hair a lot recently, I am trying to grow it out a bit, and right now it’s in that weird stage where I can’t seem to figure out what to do with it, so I just have to go with the flow and see what works each day, Which to be fair doesn’t sound that bad, but your Autistic pal over here likes constancy and routine and I want to be able to do the same thing with my hair every day. But I am just gonna have to be patient and wait, though I am not very good at that.
Hello, friends! Today I am sharing with you, a dress that I bought a few weeks ago. It’s from the brand Little Mistress, and I bought it on sale, on Asos. It’s a midi dress with a velvet bodice and a tulle skirt. It is from the plus-size range, but if I remember correctly it is available from the normal range, and even possibly in the tall and petite range. I bought it in a size UK20 and even though it is a little loose on me, I do believe that a size smaller would be too small. But it works perfectly fine, and if were to become looser, I can just tailor it myself so it fits better.
I do wish that the under-skirt/the lining would’ve been in the same length as the tulle skirt, or at least a little longer, since I have a big butt, and skirts always end higher up in the back on me, and that makes a lot of skirts too short. That and the fact that I believe the material of the lining slides up a little bit, makes it look like it’s stuck in my underwear sometimes.
Other than that I really love this dress, and I have worn it a lot since I got it, and I would’ve worn it even more if it didn’t need to be washed in between. I also seem to have a tendency to spill food on myself whenever I wear this dress, but it is one of my favorite pieces in my wardrobe and I am really happy I bought it!
Hello, friends! Today I am sharing another outfit with you. I wore it this past Monday, and I really liked it. The top I bought second hand years ago, but I haven’t worn in a really long time, but now that I’ve rediscovered it, I think I am going to wear it a lot more. It’s a dark red top, that has some slight glitter in it, and has a very discreet black pattern.
The skirt is the one I made for my birthday last year, and it’s my favorite thing I’ve ever made. It’s probably both my favorite, and most worn clothing item that I have. There definitely was some struggles while making it, and it’s not perfect, but right now, almost a year later, I can surely say that it was all worth it.
I’m planning on sharing more of my style in the near future, which I’ve surely said before, but it’s happening, so brace yourselves! But that is all from me today, and I’ll see you next time. Almond out.
Heyyo, Party People! Today I am sharing a outfit that I wore about two weeks ago now, when we celebrated my uncle’s birthday. I had planned on posting this much sooner, but as you may know, I got a little behind.
But now about the outfit; I wore a top with beading from Lidl, I think this one is dark grey, I have one that is in a dark blue colour, too, but I seem to struggle with telling them apart sometimes, even though the colours are very different when the shirts are next to each other. I really love those tops, which is why I bought both of the colours they had. They are in a very soft jersey material, but the beading around the neckline makes them very pretty.
The skirt is second hand, and I was wearing a petticoat underneath, that I made. My old-lady-shoes that I love are from Asos and as you know, I made the bag.
Hello, friends! I told you in my last post that I spent this past weekend making a bag, and that I was going to show it to you in my next post. So, here I am, actually keeping my word! I sewed all the seams by hand, which is why they are not perfect, I have yet to master that technique. Though, I have to say, I kind of like it like this.
The bag is made out of a slightly metallic silver faux leather, that I got a piece off at my local fabric shop. It was in a bin with large scarps of fabric for really cheap, and it was the first thing I saw when I walked into the shop, and I new I had to have it. It was cut a bit weird, which is why it was in the bin, but I didn’t have a problem with that, since I already knew what I wanted to make, and the piece was more than enough. I even have enough to make a small accessory or something like that.
The lining is made out of the same material, and has a smaller pocket on the inside, where I keep my cardholder right now, along with my stamp-cards for different shops that don’t really fit in the cardholder.
The outside has a big pocket that is the same with as the rest of the bag, which fits things nicely, even though I’m not really keeping anything in it right now. It only has a little charity pin stuck through it at the moment.
The zipper is just a zipper that I had at home, and was chosen because it was the only one I had that fit. I’m not sure if I’m going to keep it though, I might switch it out if I find something prettier, though I did find a little pal in pretty much the exact same colours as the zipper, which is fun.
The chain is one that I bought at my local hardware shop, and the D-rings are two small ones from the same fabric shop. It’s long enough for the bag to hang on my shoulder and it isn’t uncomfortable at all, though I might make it detachable in the future and make an extra crossbody strap as well.
Overall, I am really, really happy with what I made even though it isn’t perfect, I still love it a lot.
That was all I had to say today, so I’ll see you next time. Almond Out.
Heyyo, today I have a outfit post for you, the first in like, 3000 months. This is what I wore yesterday, when I attended my first Christmas celebration, I won’t go into too much detail about that, cause it’s going to be in a separate post. But I did have a lot of fun, and I am looking forward to the rest of this week. Today I went second hand shopping with my dad, and I bought a skirt and yet another sweater. I can’t stop buying sweaters it’s becoming a problem, please send help.
Hi friends! I took these photos yesterday a while after I got home from a little shopping trip I took. I bought two shirts, both of them super soft, one t-shirt that I am planning on having underneath some things that maybe are not so soft, or maybe a little too thin for this time of the year. I am really cold a lot and I also don’t like rough shirts and such, which actually took me a long time to realize. Lots of clothing makes my skin itch, so I’m trying to figure out what does and what doesn’t so I know what to wear and what not to wear. I also bought a soft, thinner sweater, the sleeve of which is pictured in the first photo. I actually bought another soft, thinner sweater when I was second hand shopping today.
The second photo is of my new Traveler’s Notebook. It’s actually just a travel wallet, that I found on sale in my local book store, that is in the same shape and format as a Traveler’s Notebook, all I had to do was punch four holes in it and string an elastic through them. I’m really happy with the result, it’s perfect!
